How to Make More Money and Help More People
One of the things I’ve learned since I started Family First Hypnosis almost 2 years ago is that if you want to go full time in this business you need, well, clients. And you need enough of them to pay the bills. To get enough clients you need to be able to see a wide variety of issues by being a generalist, not a specialist.
To be capable of seeing such a wide variety of clients, you need to get the very best training you can, and coming in September you can get this training with me at Family First Hypnosis in Dallas , TX. That’s right, in September, I begin certifying students to not only be hypnotists (NGH approved), but also to use the most advanced techniques known to Hypnotists, also, by becoming 5-PATH trained and certified!
Some of the issues you’ll want to know how to work with are: Weight Loss, Stop Smoking, various habits and behaviors – such as nail biting and hair pulling, fears, and habitual sadness. Don’t be surprised if you get some, well, sort of strange or interesting requests as well. And many calls, you may not want to take.

For instance, I once got a call from a lady who said she was certain she knew Jesus in another lifetime, and it made her sad all the time because he died. She also felt guilty because she hadn’t stopped the crucifixion. She wanted to know what I could do about that.

Another lady had her husband call (she was embarrassed) because when she was six years old, she and her best friend, while swinging outside on a play ground, saw a huge UFO space ship hovering about 20 feet above them. The UFO covered them with shade and the wind from blew on them like a helicopter! They became so excited! She just wanted to enter into hypnosis so she could re-live the experience.

The other day I got another interesting request, a very nice man called and asked if I could help people with their “tone of voice”. I said, “well sure, (while wondering what he meant), tell me more”. He went on to tell me that his wife was complaining that he had a mean tone of voice. She was also insisting he get help or she was going to divorce him. She was dang tired of it.
Now, neither the UFO lady or the crucifixion lady ever came in, but I was willing to work with both of them. What would you have done? The UFO lady finally took the phone from her husband and said she was coming in on the following Tuesday. However, she later called and cancelled. She said the tires went out on their car, and being a frugal lady she just couldn’t do this right now for fun.
As for the crucifixion lady, I continued talking with her on the phone and asked her when this whole thing had become a problem for her. She said since she watched the movie The Passion of the Christ. She had never been much of a spiritual person before this.
The movie so moved her so much and she felt so sad for Jesus. It wasn’t long after that that she had gone to a psychic who told her she once knew Jesus. This excited her as her life was kind of in a slump, also kind of boring and she was lonely. So she went to 2 more psychics and they also told her, amazingly (to her), the same thing, that she once knew Jesus.
She thought a lot about Jesus and about the movie, how sad it made her feel and about what the psychics said. All of this worked together somehow in her mind and caused her to come to the conclusion she should have done something to stop the crucifixion and that she was a bad person because she hadn’t stopped it.
I told her I felt confident I could help her with this, how much it would cost and the time it would take. She said, oh, I can’t afford that. I’m a school teacher and I don’t have any extra money for hypnosis (Funny she can make multiple visits to psychics).
Since I had a few minutes, I said, “Well, I just have to ask you something. After seeing that movie did you think immediately that you knew Jesus?”
She said, “No, I was just very sad.”
I said “When did you start thinking that you knew Jesus?”
She said, “Once I started seeing the psychics.”
I went on to explain to her about waking hypnosis and how her subconscious may have just accepted the suggestion from the psychics as if it were real.
I said, “Psychics sometimes know and sometimes they don’t. Isn’t that true?”
She said, “Yes, hmmm, I can see that as a possibility.” Then she added, “But I still feel so guilty.”
I said, “I know. I can see that. Hmmm, Well, Maybe this will help…what if you had stopped the crucifixion? Think how that would that have impacted the world.
She said, “You’re right. I couldn’t stop it. I had to let it happen for the world.”
I said, “Yes. Thank God you were so brave!”
She got quiet and finally said, “thank you. You know, I do feel better.”
I said, “Good. Have a nice day.” I haven’t heard from her since.
The ‘Tone of voice” guy, I AM working with right now and, as you may have guessed we are discovering a LOT of unresolved anger. He has been a piece of cake to work with. From the very start even with plain old direct suggestion he has been nicer to his wife, more helpful around the house, less mean-sounding when he talks and more affectionate. The sessions are going well and I expect him to have a reasonably sweet tone of voice most of the time by the time the work is done. Of course, it will mean beating the hell out of a pillow and telling off a few hallucinated people first.
Reflecting back, I’ve been getting a lot of this sort of “anger in relationship stuff” lately. Mostly it’s women mad at their husbands. I’ve seen several women who have been betrayed by their spouses, in various ways. These wives feel it is in their best interest to get over it, forgive and stay in the relationship, so for this reason they seek my services. Sometimes they want to stay for “the children” or “monetary reasons” or “he’s a good guy; he just made a mistake”. Recently, I have probably seen about 5 of them.
I have been enjoying working with “Anger in Relationship” issues so much, in fact, that in my next article I plan to tell you more about this aspect of the work I do and how you can do it, too, to make a real difference in families.
But before I sign off one last phone call:

A totally serious lady with a thick southern drawl called me all the way from Alabama. Being from Louisiana and having lived in Texas for16 years, I’m quite capable of dealing with eccentric southern characters, or so I thought.
I answered the phone like I usually do, “Family First Hypnosis, This is Celeste. Can I help you?”
“Yes, Ma’am, I need to know if you can teach me to use hypnosis at a concert.” The southern bell asked.
“A concert? What do you mean? I inquired curiously.
“Well, Toby Keith (country music star) has a big man who won’t let you backstage and I want to hypnotize that big man, so he will let me go see Toby.” She answered pointedly.
A little shocked and taken aback for a moment, I hesitated, then, I just had to bite, “Hmm, what do you plan to do once you get back stage?”
I want to hypnotize HIM too, she said even more bluntly.
Doing all I could to keep myself from giggling I asked, “For WHAT?”
She said, “He is messin’ up his life. Somebody needs to tell him. He should know better than to do all that travelin’ and all them shows.“
She went on to tell me she knew him from way back when he wasn’t famous and then told me all the things in his life he has been doing to hurt himself and his family. She knew every detail of his life as per various entertainment news sources.
I sat amazed and amused and let her talk a little while. When I reluctantly told her that I didn’t think there was anything she could do with hypnosis to help with her mission she was very unhappy. I went on to explain that hypnosis only works if the subject wants it to. She was also very unhappy to hear that.
I finally added, with a bit of an amused twinkle in my eye, “You know, if you ever get through to him, though, you can give him my website address and tell him to give me a call. Just tell him; I’ll do all I can to help.” And, I don’t mind telling you I had to wonder about the phone calls that might be being made to the poor hypnotists in Nashville Tennessee!
