Hypnotherapy Used as a Phobia Treatment and Anaesthesia Complement During Surgery

Hypnotherapy LoungeUK healthcare system is making an increasing use of hypnotherapy for phobia treatment and a complementary form of anaesthesia according to The Daily Mail reports. Such forms of hypnotherapy are helping people to overcome anxiety and/or fear during surgical treatments.

“Hypnosedation” is a technique where surgical patients are not given general anaesthetic but a combination of hypnotherapy, a mild sedative, and a local anaesthetic. This procedure has been used extensively in Europe and seen a great success there. Studies reportedly indicate that those who undergo hypnosedation can recover faster that those who uses general anaesthesia and they also avoid the side effects of the usual treatment.

Everyone must feel anxiety and/or fear whenever they will undergo surgical treatment that is why we ask for anaesthesia but having some alternatives like hypnosedation to choose from is good as many is also afraid with the side effects cause by using anaesthesia. Use Hypnosis to Study Moral Judgment: The Role of Reason and Emotion

Here is an interesting bit of scientific information for you from the Natural News website. A lot of people, including scientists and researchers wonder about the idea of moral philosophy. Are moral judgments a result of reasoning or of an emotion? Some say that moral judgments are nothing but expressions, or about, the persons judge’s own attitudes such as their thoughts, feelings or personal opinions. While others thought that moral judgments can express through objective moral facts, meaning the truth does not depend on who judges them or whether someone judges them at all.

For example, Wheatley and Haidt researched how hypnosis has an effect on moral judgment. The result of their research made them conclude that intuition and feelings can influence moral judgments. This topic though is still up for debate and still early to conclude though many are saying that hypnosis is a great tool to determine whether moral judgment is based on emotion or on reasoning. President Obama Still Struggles to Stop Smoking… Hypnosis Could Help

President Barak Obama At Number 10So, there he is, the most powerful man in the world, leader of our nation, and the Commander and Chief of the most powerful armed forces in the world, still unable to stop smoking.

He says that he wants to quit, but in his own words, according to USA Today’s website, "I constantly struggle with it" and "there are times when I mess up". Then, he goes on to say, "I don’t do it in front of the kids." I wonder if there is a smoking room in the White House, or does he just step outside?

I’m thinking that a really smart person like Obama, if he really wanted to quit smoking, he could do it. Seriously, lots of people have done it, either by using sheer willpower, a medical intervention such as the patch, or through hypnosis.

I think that President Obama should see a good hypnotist. What do you think?
